Pause in His presence
Silence your mind for a moment. Ask God what’s on His heart today. Listen for His still small voice to whisper His answer, then let Him guide you as you pray this prayer.
Rejoice and praise Him
Dear Lord, our faithful and loving Father, King of Heaven and earth. We come to You today with praise on our tongues and yearning in our hearts. You and You alone are our salvation. To You we submit our mind, our will, and our spirit. Yahweh, come close and bend Your ear to hear and heed our prayer. May Your awesome power reign in our hearts and transform us into the fullness of all You have created us to be. We rejoice in Your covenant, cling tightly to Your promises, and commit our heart, mind, and soul to Your grace and mercy. As Your children and fellow heirs with Your Son Jesus Christ, we seek You for guidance and protection. Ancient of Days, show Your wondrous works in us today as we seek Your face.
Ask Him
You desire in us a pure heart, Oh God, a purity that only You can bring forth. We were born of sin Father, yet You can cleanse us and make us white as snow. You long to do so. As we bend a knee to Your Holiness, and submit ourselves to the Hand of the Potter, may You chisel away our selfishness and discard the dross of our humanness. As we bow our heads before Your throne of righteousness, may You renew in us a steadfast spirit, remaking our will so we desire only the things of Your Kingdom. Do not turn away from us God, nor hold back Your enduring love for Your church. Send us Your Holy Spirit now, Lord. Feed our spirit so that we abound in perseverance, hope and faith. Fill us to overflowing with Your promise of everlasting joy and peace. Sustain us with Your right hand Father. Lift us up to stand on the solid rock of Your truth.
Yield to Him
We approach Your throne today Lord with humble hearts. We submit and commit our will to Your purpose. We yield our needs, wants, and desires to You. Remake us into the likeness of Your Servant-Son Jesus. May Your Kingdom come and may Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Thank You for hearing us today Father God. We do and ask all of this in the Holy Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May You be blessed in Heaven and on earth this day Abba Father. Amen.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from Your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. (Psalm 51:10–12, NIV)
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:16, NIV)
