The Tapestry of Life
threads from the One unweave to become
individual ones unlike every other
one bright and strong, one dark and flexible
each other as different as the next
they dance and twirl and sometimes knot
as they share space under the stars
contrasts highlight the uniqueness of each and every strand
some stretch, some break under the pressure
beauty and grace there for all to see
a design created out of nothing
awesome wonder at the intricacies of small and vast alike
indestructible when based in truth
the tapestry goes on as more’s to be done
a new story begins each day
the design unfolds as the pieces combine
